A scabbard for a training dagger. The dagger was a custom piece I commissioned from the always amazing Davis Reproductions. I wanted it for armored HEMA fencing, and because of this it has a blunt blade and a very large blunted point for safety. The scabbard had to be large enough to accommodate the safety point without being too loose that the dagger constantly slips out. Under the leather wrap the wood sides were left “hollow” along part of the edges to allow it to slightly expand when the thick point slides through while the leather holds the wood compressed enough to keep the dagger in place.
The scabbard is meant to match the Georgius Scabbard
